Special Note: Several churches in Hampton have taken a petition to circulate among their congregation. The churches recognize the issue is about saving 10-acres of green space as a city park for the fun and relaxation of all Hampton citizens no matter their faith, race, age, sex, or political leanings.  

As one minister told his congregation, "I'm not here to tell you to sign the petition or not sign the petition, I just want you to know about the issue and have a voice in the matter if you so wish.
