Buckroe referendum

The Hampton City Council has stated that 13,000 voter' opinions are not of consequence to them by refusing to allow the public to vote on the Buckroe Master Plan's Bayfront Initiative.

Reason?  It isn't important to the city of Hampton.

Those people who signed the petitions didn't have to pay dues to any organization to be kept informed and express their opinions.

I certainly hope those 13,000 "inconsequential" voters voice their opinions when council is up for re-election.
